What should I bring to treatment?

The following is a list of items that you will need while you are in treatment at Sage Health Centre:

  1. Your Care Card and extended health care card numbers for your medical coverage.

  2. If you do not have extended health benefits, you will need to bring a $200.00 refunded deposit or a visa with you to cover any prescriptions required during your stay.

  3. Bring enough medications for the first 72 hours of your treatment and ensure that all of your medications are in labelled prescription bottles.  All medications and herbal preparations must be turned in at admission in order to be approved by our resident physician.

  4. Clients have payphone access for outgoing calls; bring either a calling card or quarters.  Your cell phone will be locked up while you are in treatment; you may access your voice mail.

  5. Clients have access to computers and the internet for online banking and email; please do not bring lap tops.  You may bring MP3 players.

  6. If you are a smoker you will need to bring enough tobacco for the first 72 hours as you are not permitted to leave the property.

  7. Bring personal toiletries including tooth brush, shampoo etc.  Do not bring any items such as mouth wash that may contain alcohol.  Linens, towels and laundry soap are provided.

  8. Bring your bathing suit and/or gym gear as a pass to the YMCA is provided for you.

  9. Bring appropriate seasonal clothing; the smoking area is located outdoors and clients walk approximately 15 minutes to access meetings and the YMCA.  In the winter, bring boots with good soles as we are located on a hillside.

  10. Do not bring clothing with alcohol, drug or gang related images on it or any type of pornography with you.

  11. Please only bring what you can carry home.  We are not responsible for lost or stolen property.
